Accessibility
We are committed to making BidBod24 accessible to everyone. Our goal is to provide an inclusive experience that aligns with recognized accessibility standards and best practices.
Standards & Conformance
BidBod24 aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We follow semantic HTML, ARIA recommendations, and inclusive design principles. Where full conformance is not yet possible (e.g., live streaming captions), we document limitations and provide a roadmap for improvements.
Accessibility Features
Keyboard Navigation
All critical actions are accessible using the keyboard. Focus states are clearly visible and logical tab order is maintained.
Color Contrast
We design with sufficient contrast to meet WCAG AA guidelines and support high-contrast modes.
Scalable Text
Typography scales with browser zoom to 200%+ without loss of content or functionality.
ARIA Landmarks
We use semantic HTML and ARIA attributes to convey structure and purpose to assistive technologies.
Focus Management
Modals, drawers and dynamic content manage focus appropriately to support screen reader workflows.
Error Prevention
Forms provide clear labels, instructions and error feedback. Critical actions require confirmation.
Known Limitations & Roadmap
Live Captions for Streams
We plan to introduce automated live captions and transcripts for live auction streams powered by Agora.
Expanded Screen Reader Testing
Ongoing compatibility testing with NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver across major browsers.
Third‑Party Content Audits
We continue to review third‑party integrations for accessibility alignment and offer alternatives when needed.
